i have always enjoyed studying and rendering faces, both real and imagined. the face is the most visually appealing and interesting subject to me, and provides so many physical and emotional features to interpret. my goals in working in portraiture are to use faces -- my own and others' -- to create strong compositions and to explore my sense of self in the world.
